Our Mission

The Colorado Joint Referee Committee promotes and carries out the National Program for Referee Development for all affiliated soccer within Colorado. The Committee sets policies within the state within the confines of the governing documents of U.S. Soccer and the National Program for Referee Development.

Our job is to TRAIN, PROMOTE, AND RETAIN REFEREES as outlined by the National Program.

CYS State Cup & Presidents Cup Spring 2010

The CYS State Cup and the CYS Presidents Cup for U14 - U18 Boys begins on Mar 27th, 2010. For referees selected to officiate at these tournaments, the CJRC, in support of this important event, will provide Referee Field Training and classroom training sessions, as well as mentoring. For those referees who are interested in being selected, availability is now being accepted from referees Grade 8 or higher. Grade 9 referees will be selected to do Presidents Cup and up to lines State Cup U14 only.

A pre-tournament meeting will be held for all referees selected to officiate at the Spring 2010 State Cup and Presidents Cup games.  It will be held on Tuesday, March 16th at the Coldwell Banker Training Facility, 2200 S Monaco Pkwy. Suite R, Denver, CO.  See the Clinic Schedule entry for complete information.

Effective for 2011 all Grade 7 referees will need to successfully complete a maintenance assessment for recertification. In order to receive Assessments on CYS State Cup games, Referees must have:

  1. completed and passed their fitness test.

  2. attended the annual 5 hours of recertification.

  3. paid the appropriate assessment fee for the grade.

New CJRC Logo and Flipping Coin
The CJRC is pleased to announce the creation of a new logo.  It appears in the above page banner.  Also available for purchase is a new flipping coin with the new logo on one side the the USSF Referee Program logo on the reverse side..  The new coin may be purchased for $3.00 by contacting your CJRC Registrar at: Colorado Registrar.

NOTE:  Please Keep Your Biographical Information Up-To-Date

Referees must update their biographical info on the US Soccer website, especially your email address, as soon as it is changed. Today most notifications are through email and your Assignors receive your biographical information (email address, phone numbers) from the CJRC based on the USSF Registration.

If you are not receiving communications from the CJRC or your Assignor, it is most likely because your email address has changed or is incorrect and you have not updated your registration information.
