Referee Registration


The Referee Registrar carries out the registration policies of the National Referee Program at the State level. The Registrar administers registrations for the State Referee Administrator  at all levels and works closely with the National Referee Program to ensure that registrations are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

If you have not received your ID card or Badge for 2008 please contact the Colorado Registrar.

Instructions for Registering, Downgrading or Requesting Emeritus Status:

Colorado Referees Re-Registering for 2009

If you are re-registering in Colorado for 2009, please update your biographical information. Make sure it is correct and up to date. NOTE: You may re-register for more than one Registration Type (Referee, Assessor, Instructor, Assignor, Indoor/Futsal) at the same time. Check all that apply. After you have completed the payment of fees, print two (2) copies of the confirmation page and bring both copies to the Recertification class that you plan on attending. A detailed list of fees paid on the confirmation printout will also be emailed to you if you have entered a valid email address.


Referees Transferring from another State

If you are transferring from another State update your biographical information only, do not proceed further. If you go ahead and complete the online registration, you will be reregistered with your prior State. You will need to fill out a registration form at the clinic you attend or complete the E-Form at this link, complete it, print it out and take to the clinic.

New Referees and Referees Completing Bridge Classes

For those Referees who are new or are completing the Bridge class, view the Calendar for scheduled classes and register with the Registration Contact indicated by Email or phone.  You will need to fill out a registration form at the clinic you attend or complete the E-Form at this link, print it out and take the completed form to the clinic.

Lapse in Registration

if you have missed one or more years of registering, see the USSF Referee Program Policy on Lapsed Referee Registrations.


AYSO Cross-Certification

If you are an AYSO Referee who wants to register with the United States Soccer Federation, you must fill out both the US Soccer Federation Registration Form and the AYSO-USSF Cross Certification Form. Download, print out, and complete both forms.  Both forms must be sent to the State Referee Administrator (SRA) along with the $25.00 registration fee. See the Contact page for the SRA mailing address.

Cross-certification is available to referees of AYSO and USSF who have been certified as referees for six months or more and who are not certified with both organizations. AYSO and USSF games may be applied toward the certification requirements of either AYSO or USSF.
