Colorado State Youth Referee Administrator
After receiving several information requests, it appears that we
have a misunderstanding regarding the USSF Policy of Game Priority
in Referee Appointments.
I spoke with the previous Colorado SRA as well as have corresponded
with the Federation office in Chicago and have determined that,
in Colorado, no specific policy has been put into
place other than both the adult and youth leagues worked together to
ensure the best referees possible for the games. With that being
said, we will follow the directives from the Federation.
Regarding the policy of the Game Priority in Referee Appointments,
please refer to these comments received from the USSF Referee
Program Office.

information from page 43 of the Referee Administrative Handbook:

USSoccer Game Assignment Policy (p 43) (PDF) |
In Kevin Yant's electronic correspondence with
the USSF Program Office, the following point was reiterated: (modified to reflect the new RAH)
After the initial listing of the 15 game priority
designations, all leagues are equal. Amateur leagues do not
take precedence over youth games. (Page 43 of the RAH, right under
the listing of the 15 categories.) The regular amateur league does
not have precedence over any other game. All league games are equal
– youth and adult.
